I’m a storyteller, an optimiser of businesses and a facilitator of progress.
As someone who has studied business and marketing, I know the value of succinctly summing up what you do for a specific audience. However, I have never fit neatly into a box, so let me tell you about what I do in a headline, three dot points and a few hyperlinks;
Storytelling
I am passionate and knowledgeable about storytelling and how it can be strategically harnessed to create change across many mediums. In this space, I specialise in storytelling strategy and creating impactful content (primarily for screen) and do so regularly for many high profile businesses and organisations through Venn, which I co-founded in 2019.
Business Optimiser
I am a big proponent of organisations that seek to create change, whether that’s their core purpose or as a by-product of commercial success. I have an Executive MBA and use it to help organisations with strategy, communication, culture and navigating change, which features heavily in the work I do at both Venn and as an independant consultant.
Facilitator of Progress
Having worked in the screen industry for over twenty years, primarily as a director/producer, I became increasingly aware of the norms, culture and leadership practices that do not serve us. I call it the invisible %. The seemingly unquantifiable percentage of time, money and creativity that gets lost as a result.
I am passionate about creating environments that enables great creative work to happen. As an independant consultant, I have consulted across the screen industry, I have authored several reports (e.g., ‘Leadership Matters’) and I work closely with Screen Well as an advisor and senior consultant, who are dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing outcomes of the screen sector.
